FAQ

What is colostrum?

Bovine Colostrum is a nutrient-rich fluid that contains antibodies produced by cows immediately after giving birth to protect newborn from infections and diseases.

Why is cow (Bovine) colostrum good for human use?

Colostrum is beneficial for human use due to its unique concentrated composition of rich essential nutrients such as proteins, carbohydrates, fats, vitamins and minerals.

It contains antibodies, growth factors, and other beneficial compounds that can support immune function, gut health, and overall well-being.

Is colostrum safe?
When sourced and processed responsibly, bovine colostrum is very safe and beneficial dietary supplement.  It is not a medicine, it is a food and has no known side effects.  However, like with any supplement or food product, it's essential to ensure its quality and source.

How is it produced?

Our product is processed via centrifugation, enzymatic emulsification, micro-filtrated and ultra-micro-filtrated and then freeze dried. It is not pasteurized which destroys most of the active ingredients in colostrum. Our cows are sourced from Germany and Austria from European certified organic farms. The strictest certification available in Europe today. It certifies that the cows never receive any antibiotics, hormones or animal by-products in their feed. The cows ruminate freely and eat natural grass. E.U. strictly regulates the use of herbicides or pesticides. The soil is tested for contaminants on a regular basis.  All cows are tested for B.S.E. and Para influenza on an annual basis and are treated homeopathically for all conditions.

Why is your colostrum not pasteurized?

Most all proteins “denature” around 120 degrees Fahrenheit rendering them into ineffective amino acid. Growth Factors are also “denatured” above 120 degrees Fahrenheit, however the alternative method to get “nutritionally effective” colostrum is to refine it under total refrigeration.

Pasteurization is the process of taking a fluid and exposing it in an extremely rapid fashion to a sudden increase in temperature for a short period of time and then restoring the “pasteurized” liquid back to its chilled state to reduce the bacterial content.
Raw milk can be pasteurized very slowly, for example: 30 minutes at 145 degrees Fahrenheit,  or at 161 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 seconds or ultra pasteurization at 280 degrees Fahrenheit for 2 seconds. Colostrum is typically pasteurized at 161 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 seconds, destroying the most important ingredients. Spray Drying is shooting an extremely thin stream of fluid on to highly  heated drum – 240 degrees Fahrenheit – instantly evaporating the fluid and leaving only the next to worthless colostrum powder.
What are Growth Factors?
Cow colostrum contains various growth factors such as insulin-like growth factors (IGFs), which may support tissue repair, muscle growth, and overall development.
What are Antibodies?
Colostrum contains high levels of antibodies, particularly immunoglobulin G (IgG). These antibodies play a crucial role in supporting the immune system, helping to fight off infections and illnesses.
What are Anti-inflammatory Properties?
Some components of colostrum, such as cytokines and other immune-regulating factors, have anti-inflammatory properties. Consuming colostrum may help to reduce inflammation in the body and alleviate symptoms of inflammatory conditions.
How does it support Gut Health?
Colostrum contains bioactive compounds such as lactoferrin and various prebiotics that can support gut health. These components may help to maintain a healthy balance of gut bacteria, improve digestion, and support immune function.
Are there any additives in it?

There are absolutely no additives in our product. It is 100% natural and organically pure.
